The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has granted Equinor consent to use Island Innovator for the temporary and permanent plugging and abandonment of five wells on the Åsgard field in the Norwegian Sea.

This marks an important milestone in our collaboration with Equinor and represents a significant step forward in our continued focus on high quality, efficient, and safe PP&A operations.

Petro.no has published an article about Island Innovator and its upcoming contract with Equinor. The scope of work for the rig is taking shape while it is currently at Hanøytangen being prepared for at least three years of operations for the operator.
