WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT OUR NEW RIG MANAGER; CATO LANDSVIK

After starting his career on and offshore in the building and construction business for 12 years, Cato has built up more than 25 years of experience in Odfjell Drilling AS, working his way up from Pipe Handler to Rig Manager.

He was introduced to Island Innovator in 2011 as the first Rig Manager for the Semi-Submersible unit on behalf of Odfjell during their management (2011-2018), responsible for mobilising the unit from China to Norway and starting up operations for great operations such as Lundin, Aker BP, OMW and Spirit Energy.

Since late 2018 the work has consisted of continuous operational improvements, rig tender work and several digitalization projects. Cato has also studied business development with digitalisation and green shift (ESG), Logistic, and leading personnel.

Cato Landsvik and Jan Fredrik Dale will both have the role as Rig Manager on Island Innovator in the period the rig is in West Afrika. Cato will also follow up Noble Loyd Noble on behalf of Island Drilling.

“I am very happy to have Cato on the team, and look forward to good cooperation within the company and with our customers as well as new opportunities in a rising market.” Roger Simmenes, CEO.
