WE WELCOME OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF THE QHSES TEAM

Frank Herforth Nielsen has worked in the industry since 1991; offshore in most positions within drilling, on jack-ups with Maersk Drilling.

In 2005 He started onshore as Assistant Rig superintendent in Stavanger. In 2007 he moved to Brunei to attending a new build as Assistant Rig Manager/ Technical. From 2008 Frank started at Transocean working as Assistant Rig Manager where he was responsible for different project involving re-classification and AoC. In 2013 Frank started at Maersk training conducting training in topics as Managed Pressure Drilling, Dual Gradient Drilling, Coil Tubing and HPHT on eDrilling`s dynamic drilling simulator.

Since the recession in the oil and gas industry in 2016 he has worked as an HSEQ Coordinator at Stangeland Maskin, where he was involved in demolition project, windmill farms and road construction.

He also has a Bachelor degree in Management with focus on Project Management, Risk Management, Quality, as well as competence within Accident Investigation, OPITO and HSE Training.

SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONS WITH TULLOW OIL COMPLETED

Island Drilling Company is pleased to announce the successful completion of its recent contract with Tullow Oil. The operations, conducted in Mauritania from August 16th to October 15th, were carried out in water depths ranging from 208 meters to 1200 meters using dynamic positioning (DP) alone.
