Trident Energy still have another three options that may be exercised. The two firm wells plus the two exercised wells are estimated to keep the Island Innovator in operation for 190 days.

Island Drilling disputes the termination of the drilling contract with Trident Equatorial Guinea Inc on 8th February 2024.

Trident Energy has exercised one more option with Island Innovator. This is the third option being exercised and this option adds another 40 days to the contracted work. This optional work is on behalf of another operator in Equatorial Guinea.
Island Drilling Company has temporarily left Mauritania and Tullow Oils to sail to Hanøytangen, Norway to prepare for our next contract with Dana Petroleum in the UK.
