Island Innovator Commences Three Year PP&A Contract for Equinor

Island Drilling Company is pleased to announce that the Island Innovator has officially commenced operations under a three year Permanent Plug & Abandonment (PP&A) contract for Equinor on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This marks an important milestone in our collaboration with Equinor and represents a significant step forward in our continued focus on high quality, efficient, and safe PP&A operations.

WE SIGN CONTRACT WITH MAERSK DECOM

Maersk Decom Mauritania A/S has awarded Island Drilling Company AS a contract for plugging and abandonment of four firm and one optional well in the Tullow Oil operated Banda and Tiof fields offshore Mauritania. The work is estimated to 75 days in total. Commencement of the work is Q4 in 2022.

WE SIGN CONTRACT WITH PETROFAC

Petrofac has awarded Island Drilling Company AS a contract to conduct a workover on Tailwind Energy’s Orlando Field with the Island Innovator rig in Q2/3 2022. Island Innovator is a 6th generation Harsh Environment rig from 2012. In addition, the rig has two options for other potential work.

WE SIGN CONTRACT WITH DANA PETROLEUM

Dana Petroleum has awarded Island Drilling Company AS a contract to drill one well with the rig Island Innovator from April 2022. Island Innovator is a 6th generation Harsh Environment rig from 2012. In addition, the rig has three options for other potential work.

ISLAND INNOVATOR CAPABILITIES

Island Drilling have started making a series of animation films to show the rig Island Innovator’s capabilities. This first film shows the drilling of a single exploration well. This film will on a later stage be followed up with a series of animation films showing Island Innovators capabilities.
