Island Innovator Ready for P&A Operations on Åsgard – Featured on Petro.no

Island Drilling Company AS is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a Contract with OMV (Norge) AS the 12th of December, to drill one well on License 644, close to Aasgaard Field in the North Sea. In addition, a separate agreement has been signed with OMV, which applies to up to 3 option wells for OMV in other Norwegian sea areas.

Today the 18th of October 2019 received Island Drilling Management AS the approval letter from PSA, for operation on Norwegian continental shelf for the company and the rig.

Island Drilling Management achieved the UK Safety Case acceptance letter on the 28th of June 2019. This is a milestone in establishing of the Island Drilling Management and for operation of our MODU Island Innovator, in UKCS.

Island Drilling Company AS is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a contract with Faroe Petroleum Norge AS, to drill one well on PL888 Canela license, located west of Heidrun field. Block 6507/7.

Island Drilling har overtatt management på Island Innovator og bemanner riggen med eget mannskap og ny boreorganisasjon. Riggen gjennomgår nå klassing av brønnkontrollutstyr kraner og skrog samt ytterligere vinterisering før den går ut på ny kontrakt

Island Drilling har mottatt kontrakt fra det britiske operatørselskapet CNOOC (Nexen) for boring på britisk side West of Shetland Kontrakten har en varighet på 60 dager firm og opsjoner med oppstart i Juni.
